MBF (or MEFA) was started by Delia de Leon and Pete Townshend at Meher Baba Oceanic in London. It is the most complete archive of film of Meher Baba in the world.

Their website is www.meherbabafilm.com where you can learn lots more about the preservation and restoration of the original film of Baba.

The present curator of the archive, Richard O'Casey, was uniquely given personal permission by Mehera and Mani to show The Entombment Film to people who have a sympathy with or understanding of Meher Baba.

Richard told us, "All the 16mm Kodachrome footage taken at the Entombment has been very sucessfully restored. This ten minute film is a shortened version of the material to capture the poi nuance and magnificence of this great event 42 years ago, and also to showcase the new restoration.

Bhau's Amartithi 2012 Welcome Address

Beloved Avatar Meher Baba Ki Jai!

My dearest dear ones of Beloved Avatar Meher Baba,

On behalf of the Avatar Meher Baba Perpetual Public Charitable Trust, its Board of Trustees, the Meherazad Mandali and the volunteers who are doing selfless service for the Trust, I welcome you.

Amartithi comes every year on 31st January, and people from India and many different countries have come to attend. Since Beloved Baba has dropped His physical body, how does this happen?

I tell you all: when His lovers come to His Samadhi, He is present there in a different form. He gives His love-blessing to all. There are some who can understand, and there are others who don't understand, but still, they all come automatically in His Name.

Amartithi is the day Baba departed physically from us all, and it is very, very important. Amar means "Immortal," and Tithi means "Date." "Immortal Date."

We are all One, and being together on this Immortal Date of Amartithi reminds us that we are all One. Some day, we will truly experience this Oneness.

Jai Ho! Jai Ho!! Jai Ho!!! Jai Jai kar Ho yours, you who have come to attend this Amartithi, and all those who wanted to come but could not because of some difficulty or another, and even those who have left the body and yet are present here. This message is for all, and it gives the importance of that Real Message from Beloved Baba: "We are all One."

We have passed through all the different forms, right from stone to human being, but we are all One. Now in this human form, the last form, you have come in contact with the Ancient One. How fortunate and blessed you all are!

You may not realize it now, but one day, you will realize this.

Mohammed Paigambar, Zoroaster and Jesus are One and the same. The Lord comes down on earth age after age according to the age and circumstances. In each one, He takes a different form – He came as Krishna, Ram and Buddha - but He is One and the same.

This time, after Mohammed Paigambar, He came as Meher Baba. Of course, He does not make it clear each time that He is One and the same. Only Meher Baba has made this clear: that the Avatar is always One and the same.

When Baba was here at Meherabad in the beginning, how many Muslims were with Him! And how many Zoroastrians, Hindus, Christians…

Now Muslims may say, "Read the Koran."

Yes, in the Koran, Mohammed Paigambar did not give the details that "We are all one." Why?

The circumstances and situation were quite different then, and according to them, He had written the Koran. Now the Koran is the Holy Book that the Muslims follow.

The same Mohammed came again in the form of Meher Baba. He visited all over the world, and what message has He given?

We are all One.

There is no difference between us - no Muslim, no Jew, no Hindu, no Christian, no Zoroastrian - we are all One, and we follow accordingly.

He traveled the world, and now there are so many Meher Baba Centers in the West – the Meher Spiritual Center in Myrtle Beach, Avatar's Abode in Australia, Meherabode in Los Angeles, Meher Mount and Meherana in California, the Heartland Center in Oklahoma, the Meher Baba Association in London, and other Centers in Europe, Canada and South America. In India there are hundreds of His Centers.

This Immortal Date of Amartithi gives the message of the Lord that we have to follow: His message is that no one is different; we have come in the world in order to realize God and everyone is going towards Him, towards God. Whether you follow Him or not, whether you accept it or not, we are all going towards God.

Jai Ho! Jai Ho!! Jai Ho!!! Jai Jai kar Ho, all you dear ones who are present, all those who wanted to come, but faced some difficulty and could not come, and Jai Ho! Jai Ho!! Jai Ho!!! Jai Jai kar Ho to the world! Jai Ho!

Avatar Meher Baba Ki Jai!

With all love and Jai Baba to you,

In His Love and Service,

Bhau Kalchuri

I live and work in Coastal South Carolina after having spent many years living and working in Manhattan and growing up on Long Island. I have also spent time working in the Brandywine Pennsylvania countryside as well as studying in Paris. Although trained to paint portraits and still life, living in low country with its diverse natural environment is continually renewing in spirit and provides a wide variety of motifs for inspiration. I have devoted the last number of years to a project that has incorporated many figurative pieces so it has been refreshing to be able to go back and forth between the landscape , seascape and the figure. I also find the continued study of the artists I admire to be a great source of daily artistic inspiration. They are Inness, Zorn, Sargent, Sorrolla.... as well as so many others from all centuries. To me their work has in it what Joseph Campbell said could only be described as “sublime” when viewing a great work of art. I interpret this to be a glimpse of universal truth..

Nectar for the Children

Nectar for the Children
Stories dictated by Meher Baba to Bhau Kalchuri

In 1968 Baba told Bhau to write a children's book including stories He had given him. And then he forgot. In 2002, Bhau was reminded of Baba's wish and has therefore written Nectar for the Children, including stories such as The Mischievous Chicken, The Two Kings, The Seven Fishes and more, totaling 18 stories in all. Nad Wolinska has enlived each story with beautifully painted color illustrations. Following each story is an explanation of it's moral and spiritual meaning.

Jelauddin Balkhi (Rumi), God realized 13th century poet. Described by Meher Baba as one of the greatest minds to ever be born upon the earth.
Come, come whomever you are, wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving. Ours is not a caravan of despair but ours is a caravan of hope. Come, come even if you've broken your vows a thousand times. Come yet again, come...
